The Christian und Dorothee Bürkert Stiftung accepts applications for funding from charitable organisations and bolsters the voluntary work of committed employees throughout the Bürkert Group.
According to the statutory purposes, we promote projects, ideas and plans in the field of education that improve social cohesion and focus on disadvantaged people. We are also specifically committed to promoting top talent and empowering talented young people. In terms of charity and welfare, we are committed to helping groups of people who are in particular need of support. The foundation promotes scientific work and research projects with a technical focus and which aim to achieve an assessable impact in the humanitarian and social sector. We also promote the expansion of opportunities for cultural participation, especially for young people and disadvantaged groups.
Against the backdrop of these purposes, we primarily fund projects that set structures and processes in motion and provide impetus for further development. This includes social, cultural and ecological developments that change both spaces and, above all, relationships, ways of acting and ways of thinking, and whose effectiveness can be observed over time.
Each project must be clearly presented in terms of objective, purpose, need and verifiability. The funding partner must submit a report at the end of the project.
Before submitting an application, applicants may make a brief preliminary enquiry as to whether an idea or project is fundable. The enquiry should be sent by email (mail@burkert-stiftung.com).
The application form must be used for the application.
The applicant will be informed promptly about the next steps regarding their application.
Applications requesting funding for the following year must be submitted, as a rule, by mid-October. The Board of Trustees decides in November whether to approve the applications.
Applicants are not entitled to justification in the event of rejections, nor do they have a legal claim to funding. Even if the application meets the funding guidelines, the foundation is not obliged to grant any funding.
The Christian und Dorothee Bürkert Stiftung generally supports projects or organisations that have a regional connection to the operating sites of the Bürkert Group. In the case of funding applications from the higher education sector, a subject-related connection to the company is an advantage.
Private individuals or applications relating to individual fates as well as applications for lump-sum funding will not be approved.
